European Cooperation Day 2015

Orchestrating hundreds of local events, fourth year in a row, the European Cooperation Day will be celebrated across Europe in September 2015. The campaign, coordinated by the European Commission in cooperation with the Committee of the Regions and the European Parliament is to present to the public the achievements of cooperation between the European countries and regions.

In a capacity of Managing Authority of Cross-Border Cooperation Programmes under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance between the Republic of Bulgaria and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Serbia, Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works in cooperation with the Ministry of Local-Self Government and the Serbian European Integration Office (National Authorities under the Programmes) shall organize the celebration of the European Cooperation Day on 12th of September 2015, from 13:30 to 16:15 at the entrance of the Dramatic Theatre in Kyustendil, under the title “Sharing borders, growing closer!”, with participants from three countries: beneficiaries under the programs, students, citizens from the cross-border region, local officials and journalists.

The main idea of the event is to promote the culture and traditions of the three countries, through the presentation of traditional dances and a fashion show. The youngest participants - students from Kyustendil, Delcevo and Surdulica will draw during the event, as to create a common work of art which will embody the European cooperation.
