The first stage of selection of NGOs, whose representatives will participate in developing the programme for cross-border cooperation between Bulgaria and Macedonia for the programming period 2014-2020 is finished.

In response to the invitation eight applications were received from NGOs to participate in the election.

In accordance with the approved by the Minister of management of EU funds mechanism for selection of NGOs, was examined on the conformity of applications received by the announced criteria. The results of which are as follows:

• 4 applications of total of 4 non-governmental organizations from the group of social organizations meet the criteria for selection mechanism;
• 1 organization applications of total of 2 NGOs from the group of environmental organizations meet the criteria for selection mechanism;
• 2 organizations submitted a total of 2 applications of the group of organizations working in the field of development policies meet the criteria in the selection mechanism.

In accordance with the established mechanism approved NGOs from each group (social organizations, environmental organizations, organizations working in the field of development policies) are invited to nominate a joint representative of the group and his deputy, who will be included in the composition of the Working group for developing of the programme for cross-border cooperation between Bulgaria and Macedonia for the programming period 2014-2020.
