Тhe Joint Monitoring Committee of the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme between Republic of Bulgaria and FYR Macedonia, funded by the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance, will hold a session on 11.03.2011 in the town of Kyustendil. The session will be held for approval for funding projects under the First Call for proposals.
The Bulgarian co-chairman of the Joint Monitoring Committee is Ms. Liliana Pavlova - Deputy Minister of Regional Development and on behalf of FYR Macedonia - Mr. Farouk Feratoski - Deputy Minister of Local Government.
Ms. Natalie Verskelde, representative of DG Regional Policy of the European Commission will also take part in the meeting.
Projects proposed for funding are worth around 7 million Euros, as they aim to provide opportunities for joint initiatives and practices for economic and social cohesion and improving the quality of life in the cross-border region.
