The implementation of procedures regarding preventing, identifying, reporting and dealing with the irregularities under the IPA Cross-border Programme CCI Number 2007CB16IPO007 aims to:

Protect the financial interests of the EC, Republic of Bulgaria and Republic of Macedonia;
Recover the funding misused for irregularities or in case of fraud;
Prevent similar cases in the future;
Review systems and procedures for preventing future irregularities;
Cooperate with the EU and, if applicable, with other countries for disclosure and prevention of irregularities outside the territory of Bulgaria and the partner country.
